Not long now, our mare Luka has bagged up, and almost ready to
drop!

Been checking throughout the night ..just in case!
So exciting.

Will it be a Buckskin or a Palli, Filly or Colt, as long as mum and baby are well thats all that really matters.

This will be my very first foal.
Our son turned 8years old today and is ever so hoping for a "Birthday Foal'.

Will keep you all updated and post some pics when the wonderful new arrival presents its self.

Well due date was 06 09 07
still waiting, checking often.
Hopefully soon, been getting up thu out the nights to check on her, so some sleep would be good.

Well last evening luka finally gave birth to a lovely Buckskin Boy.
Little fella needed a bit of help to get standing and stable enough to get his first few feeds in.
But now is doing very well as is the mum, who was quite accepting of outside assistance.
Would like to thank Zaralis for coming over at short notice to help Diana and GrandMa Kimba for her phone help, as Bailey and myself were on a boys trip in Devonport.
Back home by 11.45pm to carry on were Zaralis had left off.
Wow what a long night.
Finally after 6 hours and the little fella is now strong enough to walk with his mum, and feed on his own!

Kimba came to see Adonis's little fella today.
Donny's first (Buckskin) Arabian foal!
Son Bailey was in on the action having some great cuddles and scratches with the foal.

Yes, Alvise and I went to visit the new arrival yesterday --- and OH what a doll he is

And I think what Chris meant to say (in his above post) is that their new little bundle of joy is "Adonis's" first BUCKSKIN Arabian foal (the other Buckskins have been mostly out of Thoroughbred mares so far)..........

It was so lovely to see that Di, Chris and Bailey all seem incredibly delighted with the new little man

At long last Luka's boy has a name.
After much discussion we have settled on

HeatherLea Lightening Boy

(name Reg Pending)

Will post some pic updates when the weather improves.
Lightening is doing very well, fattening up and starting to fill out.
Moved him and mum into a larger paddock the other day, so now he has plenty of room to test out his long legs, so funny to watch.

Hi Saahirah,
love your cute new girl, very sweet.
Lightening is now 4 weeks old and coming along in leaps and bounds.
He is such a friendly little guy loves his scratches.
Is accepting having us pick up all his feet and to have the carrot stick rubbed all over and under his body.
Started eating mums feed last week so now he gets a small portion in his own little tub.Below are some pics I took today some have his mum Luka in them and also Aunt Cutie.
