Hi all,
close encounter with a fire on our property today!
Thankfully all but one horses was down in our bottom paddock,
and the one horse was as always easy to catch and move.
My wife was walking up our drive to the house when she looked up
the hill to the top of our property and saw big smoke and could hear the crackling of fire making its way down the hill towards the house.
She called the fire brigade and found out that they were already on their way to next door!
In the end we had a number of fire units attending the fire ,
which was moving along the hill taking out our fences and eating our summer feed!
Seems we will now have to buy some hay in.
What a great job by the Fire's. a big heartfelt thankyou to
the Gravelly Beach, Bridgenorth, Legana and Exeter fire brigades
and any one else who helped out.
Now breathing a big sigh of relief.
cheers
